WHO WE ARE

OUR HISTORY

Mike Vander Heyden began Dyer Construction Company, Inc. in 1948 with one bulldozer digging basements for homes that were part of the Northwest Indiana postwar housing boom. The family dining room was converted to a home office where Mike's wife, Henrietta, completed the book-keeping for the emerging business.

Three generations later, we remain a family-owned and managed business thriving in Dyer, Indiana. We own dozens of pieces of earthmoving equipment and employ more than 60 full-time professionals, support staff, and skilled tradesmen. Our primary footprint exists in Northern Indiana and Illinois.
